Volunteer Event at Society for Aged Sick – (with Preparation for Special X'mas Volunteer Event) 2nd Nov (Saturday), 2:30 p.m. It is my pleasure to announce the details for the coming volunteer event as follows. We have officially formed a volunteer group last year under the theme - Love and Compassion. Our group “Care Connection” objective is to “connect” our care towards the less fortunate. Volunteering at SOCIETY FOR THE AGED SICK www.societyagedsick.org.sg Date: 2nd November, Saturday Time: 2:30 - 5:00 p.m. (duration about 2.5 hours) Address: 130 HOUGANG AVE 1 SINGAPORE 538900 (View google map) Nearest MRT: Serangoon Fee: Bring a Loving and Compassionate Heart. Don't leave home without it. Donation of $25 for the event is compulsory for logistics, food and prizes for games to be given to the old folks on the event day. It will also include volunteer's simple snack, drinks and after event transport. NO profit on organiser part will be generated from this event. Meeting Place: 2:00 p.m. at Serangoon MRT Station OR Meet Direct at the Home at 2:30 p.m. Drivers: For those driving, you should enter by Lor Ah Soo Program: 1) Registration and Introduction to the Home. 2) Tea break session with clients (serve food) 3) Games and Interaction session with clients (play games, assist facilitator, chat) 4) Debrief and Get Together session. 5) Get Together Session - Discussion on X'mas Special Volunteer Mega Event! 	Mid-Autumn Romance with Nature at Singapore Botanic Gardens – 14th Sept (Saturday), 7:00 p.m. Mid-autumn festival is just round the corner ! Free in the Saturday evening? Why not join us for a Mid-Autumn celebration cum nature night walk at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Participants will gather for a nature walk with lanterns, drinks and mooncakes to enjoy the romantic night scenery of Botanic Gardens, and get to meet new friends in Singapore’s very own natural environment. There will be facilitation for participants to know each other in this event. Attractions include: The Bandstand where regimental bands used to play there in 1860s, Swan Lake, Ginger Garden, Evolution Garden, Waterfall etc. You can also bring your camera to take pictures of the scenery and attractions. For those not in a hurry to go back, we will proceed for supper/coffee/tea/drinks (going dutch) after the nature walk at Orchard Area.
